Hi there! I'm Chris Reeve, drummer for the band FILTER. I also love to teach this wonderful art, and in my 13 years as a full time educator I've seen it all. With this experience, I have devised my own methods for successful teaching; which, in my opinion, also transfer into successful learning. Please allow me to share some insight on being both a great teacher and student, from the beginning.
From an early age, I was very interested in psychology and even found myself at a crossroad at age 16 between that and music. I started my senior year gearing up for a career as a psychologist, but after seeing Cirque Du Soleil- the next day I quit calculus, physics and the rest of my TEE studies (Australian SATs) in pursuit of my passion. Now, I get paid to tour the world and play drums - so I'm not sad about that decision at all (not saying you should do exactly that, it was just my decision at the time). That interest in psychology always stuck with me though; and with that came my ideas for learning - not just teaching.
